So how does a watercolor of cabbage and radishes remind me of one of my most favorite days ever? This favorite day goes back almost two years ago. My daughter was spending a semester abroad at Harlaxton College in Grantham, England so Jeff and I went to visit her. She took the train down to meet us in London for a few days of site seeing. We then took the train to Grantham and got the grand tour of her school and new home town. Even though it was March in England, the sun was shining and the daffodils were in full bloom. Elizabeth took us to the farmer's market, the local cathedral for a pot of tea, the park for a stroll along the river, and later to Sir Isaac Newtons house. Through the years we took her to many interesting places, but this was the first time she was in charge of the day. She was leading us to new places and adventures. The cabbages from the farmers market remind me of a wonderful day with our now grown up daughter.
I am an artist who specializes in watercolors. I also love to travel and find inspiration in those special places and with the interesting people I meet along the way.
