Jeff and I took off for San Antonio, one of our favorite cities, and tried out the B-Bikes along the Mission Trail. During the 1700s Spanish missionaries built a string of missions along the San Antonio River. The best known (and remembered) is the Alamo.
We parked our Prius at Mission San Jose, the largest complex of the system. Its wide open lawn dotted with palms and mesquite trees seemed far away from busy downtown San Antonio and reminded me of my native Rio Grande Valley.
